Living Life LOving Fully

I have a pretty full and interesting life which I enjoy with balance between socialising, local community development, spiritual practices, and taking care of myself and my dog who pretty much follows me everywhere.

I enjoy dancing, making music and listening to music or radio, cycling and walking in the local woods. I've been loosely following a Chinese Medicine diet for around 20 years as I believe that food is our medicine, I'm a good cook and enjoy food. I do however keep a balance and a little deviation doesn't hurt, which is handy as I enjoy a night out with a few beers at a local pub!

Music and dance is important as a way of having fun, whether it be cleaning or dancing round my home, jamming along - I play percussion - or out in at a local venue. My taste in music stems from the 60's and soul through to reggae, disco and funk, the music that came out of the 60's & 70's and all that it influences today, as a friend said - I'm a 4/4 woman!

Consciousness and self responsibility for own own destiny is important, as a teacher once said "no victims allowed"!
I wish I could say that that nothing rattles me, I experience the full range of human emotions along with everyone else. I'm a good listener and am often asked for advice or time to talk by friends, and appreciate this in a partner. I tend to focus on finding solutions to problems, or accepting that this is how things are and making the best of a situation. Friends and family are extremely important to me, I enjoy socialising as much as I do personal space.

There are many things that I'm actively involved with. New Communities are a passion, I've given up watching T.V and reading news papers, although I enjoy watching films. I'd rather spend time talking, sharing an activity, reading a book, or researching something on the 'net that interests me. I enjoy learning new things and it's for this reason that I've described myself as ambitious.
Spending time in nature, whether walking in woods, cycling or being by the sea is something that I tend to do regularly as I find houses and built up areas stifling after a while and enjoy the stillness of the open air refreshing and grounding. Balance is key.

I'd like to travel again, and would like someone with whom this will be possible. Not necessarily in fancy hotels, a more independent travel journey is more my style, although a hot bath somewhere along the way is always welcome.

I'd like to meet a man who is emotionally intelligent knows what he wants and has the ability to take action to realise this. He must be culturally and environmentally aware with an ability to have fun too. Also the belief in the possibility of change and being active in being the change that needs to happen. Open conversation and sharing feelings is something that's important, this doesn't mean being a victim to these but I do believe that if feelings are recognised it allows movement and fluidity to occur, it also encourages intimacy and connection with another human being, creating beauty and a strong relationship. Partnership in the human experience, support, encouragement, and challenge sometimes too, allows us to grow outside of our self-limitations and restrictions, creating a love of another human being.
I've been divorced longer than I was married and this seems like a lifetime ago, since then I've had a couple of good relationships since and now after a while of being single by choice I'm ready and open to another relationship.

I own a canal boat, but a recent leg injury means that I'm on dry land for the time being. I miss the active lifestyle that boating entails, it'd be great to meet someone who would enjoy boating, it's a great way to get some relaxing exercise and to get away from the hussle of 21st century living.

Why not drop me a line, introduce yourself and we can see how we get on with a view to a meet up.
